Reserve from thefirst thousand.
Lock in early-bird pricing on a Kino — the AV-grade AI media hub for AV nerds. No charge today. Cancel any time before shipment.
$179 MSRP · $149 early-bird · saves $30
01 / Pricing
$149 early-bird, locked.
$30 off the $179 MSRP. Once locked at reservation, your price doesn't move — even if MSRP changes before launch.
02 / Charging
No charge today.
We collect nothing now. Card is charged only when your unit ships (Q3 2026). 30-day no-questions return after delivery.
03 / Beta
First 50 = Beta invites.
The first 50 reservations get invited to v0 closed Beta (July–August 2026). Opt-in. Declining doesn't affect your queue position.
04 / Warranty
1-year full replacement.
Manufacturing defect, component failure, dead-on-arrival — we replace the unit. No diagnostic gauntlet. 30-day returns also covered.
05 / OTA & engine
3-year OTA. Open-source.
3 years of paid OTA included. AI engine ships open-source under Apache 2.0 at launch. Your unit keeps working even if Kino doesn't.
06 / Cancel
Cancel any time.
Before shipment: email and we remove you, no penalty, no record. After shipment: 30-day no-questions return.
Reservation, answered.
Why a waitlist instead of pre-orders?
We won't take your money until we can deliver a real product. Pre-orders that charge upfront are how startups end up running on customers' float; we'd rather start with $0 in float and earn each ship-date. The reservation locks pricing without locking your wallet.
What happens if I miss the first 1,000?
You can still reserve — at the $179 MSRP rate, not the $149 early-bird. Same shipping window (Q3 2026 + production capacity), same warranty, same OTA, same Beta opt-in if there's room. The first 1,000 just get $30 off and Beta priority.
What's the actual ship date?
Target: Q3 2026 (July–September). We'll narrow to a specific month two weeks before opening shipments. If we slip, everyone on the waitlist hears it from us first — not from a random forum thread.
Can I get a Beta unit early?
First 50 reservations are invited to v0 closed Beta (likely July–August 2026, ~6–8 weeks before public launch). Beta is opt-in: you receive a near-final unit, run it for 4–6 weeks, write a public long-form review on AVSForum or r/htpc, and feed bugs back via the public bug-tracker. Beta units are kept; they don't count against your reservation.
Where will Kino ship?
v1 ships to: USA, Canada, UK, EU (Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland), Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong. Other regions case-by-case via the contact email. We expand the list at v1 launch based on reservation geography.
Can my reservation be transferred?
Not currently. Reservations are tied to the email used. If you change your mind, we cancel and refund (zero, since no charge was made) and the next person on the queue moves up. We may add a transfer flow at launch if there's demand.
Is there business / multi-unit pricing?
Not in v1. We're focused on individual AV enthusiasts for the first thousand units. If you're a hotel, AV install company, or developer interested in fleet ordering, write hello@kino.prizmox.com and we'll discuss for v1.5+.
